Clear or ceramic brackets are fitted to the front of your teeth. Flexible archwires are fitted into the brackets and slowly spread to a curved archform. This ‘elastic recoil’ gently pushes the teeth into proper alignment. The archwires are changed when needed throughout treatment. Additional forces can be created with clear elastic bands when required.

No. With the white braces the wires and brackets are white (tooth–coloured) brackets, so they are barely visible. People will notice if they are stood close to you, but from a distance they will not even tell that you are wearing braces.
